Andy Poem No. 25
Let us sit in the dark
like teenagers, with only
the flicker of the television
to light our faces.
I will put my hand
in yours and we will think
of the pleasure
this act brings.
Let us sit in the dark
like lovers until we can't stand
it anymore and we rise
and move to your bedroom.
I will put my hand
on the back of your neck
and you will put yours
on the side of my face.
Let us lie in the dark
with only the flicker
of a candle to light
our bodies.
